You talk, you mail samples, and you send these prospects to your web pages. Finally they have all the information about your opportunity and it is time for them to make a decision.
One day you sit at home wondering who you can get into your multilevel business. You have already contacted your personal list of prospects. Now you are forced to find new people. Then, the world’s greatest idea hits you. “Wouldn’t it be great if prospects came to me? I could sit back, pick and choose from prospects. I’ll run an ad!”
On Friday, you tell your employer that you won’t be in next week. (You say it’s vacation time. However, you know next week will send you on to financial freedom. You’ll never have to go back. Such is the power of the ad you plan to run in Sunday’s paper.)
The following is from a Jim Rohn newsletter, you can sign up for the free newsletter here JIM ROHN Again I will tell you THERE IS NOTHING NEW IN NETWORK MARKETING, IT IS SIMPLY SOWING AND REAPING. People have made millions of dollars BEFORE there were ever computers, want to know how I can tell you but for now enjoy reading this;
My first mentor, Mr. Shoaff, over a five-year period of time when I was age 25 to 31, taught me some extraordinarily simple things, before his untimely passing at age 49. He only went through the 9th grade in school. He never finished high school, never went to college, never went to a university. So he put his experiences and ideas in very simple language, which, I think for me—a kid from the farms of Idaho—was so important.
When I would say, “This is all the company pays,” Mr. Shoaff would say, “No, that is all they pay you.” I thought, “That is a new way to look at it.” I told him things cost too much. But he said,

What if one day we walked into our local bank and made the following proposition to the bank officer:
“I would like to deposit $100,000 into a Certificate of Deposit. I want to begin drawing interest on it immediately. However, I am not ready to make the deposit now, but you can start making the interest payments to me immediately.”

So how did you start this morning? Did you have a clear focus on exactly what you wanted to accomplish today? For example:
* Start a relationship with one good prospect before noon.
* Eat lunch with your best prospect.
* Pass out five samples to five quality prospects.
* Have two new guests at tonight’s opportunity meeting.
Or, did you avoid building your business and became a “manager?” For example:
* Checked your back office three times.
* Took pictures for a new brochure idea.
* Started yet another Facebook group for people to hide in, avoiding prospecting.
* Listened to an extra motivational CD.
* Checked your email inbox six times.
* Posted funny quotes at social networking sites.
Management mode is dangerous. Our building stops, our momentum stops, and our downline duplicates management mode.

Many professional recruiters are taking a low-key approach to network marketing recruiting by presenting it as a way to accumulate a retirement nest egg. The technique is motivating and simple. First, you loan a copy of the book How To Get Rich Without Winning The Lottery. You can get a handful of these paperback books for less than $1.50 each, so stock up on plenty. The book explains how anyone can acquire wealth by using any of several methods suggested. Some of the methods suggested are:

If you have been following my blog, you know that true success in network marketing is about people, knowing what to say and do is all you need. Understand your policies and procedures, know if they protect you or the company, understand the comp. plan how easy will it be to make the money. Once you know you are safe with the legal contact between you and your company then learn what to say and do, Tom “Big al” Schreiter can teach you this, the following is more great advice from Tom.
Prospects and salesmen have a psychological war during the entire sales presentation. The salesman gives reason after reason why he should buy. If the prospect doesn’t arm himself with faults about the product, he will have no defense when the salesman closes. Therefore, the prospect must concentrate on finding reasons not to buy, avoid trap commitments laid by the salesman, and be on guard against any sales tricks that the salesman may use to get him.
With all these problems the prospect does not have the time to really listen or weigh the good points why he should buy. No wonder salesmen have such a hard time communicating with their prospects. The solution to this universal sales problem is simple. Merely put the prospect at ease by telling him:
1. Most people buy your product.
2. The total cost of your product.
3. “Reasons” why he shouldn’t buy.
4. That you will just present the facts and then it’s up to him.
The secret is to tell the prospect these four things BEFORE you make your sales presentation. Here are two examples of the above technique:
(a) Mr. Prospect, most people I talk with join Acme Network marketing because they see how this can really help their incomes. After all, the total cost of getting started in our program is only $49.00; that’s less than the cost of a good newspaper ad. As a matter of fact, the only two reasons people don’t join are: they don’t really understand our program; or

A problem in network marketing is the difference in commitment among spouses. Many times one spouse is totally sold on attending meetings, trainings, and rallies, while the other spouse complains about no quality time with the family and too much time spent away from home. This is a perfect formula for friction, discontent, and divorce. One spouse sees the network marketing opportunity as a way to achieve some specific financial goals. The other spouse does not believe that network marketing can be the vehicle to attain goals. The unbelieving spouses want certain financial goals, but their confidence in their spouses and network marketing is zero. How do we solve this problem? The following story should give a clue:
When building your residual income you will need great information, not another program, not the latest greatest recruiting tool, not 1000 more leads…what you need are the real facts on how to communicate your information to people, remember people join people Tom “Big al” Schreiter has spent at least the last 35-40 years perfecting these skills, he will give you all you need to build your dreams. The following is a short excerpt from one of his many writings. Thanks Tom for showing me the way!!!
Joe Distributor said, “Those stories are just great, but sometimes I have trouble getting started. I need something to break the ice. I’ve tried talking about the weather and sports, but that’s a waste of time and the prospect knows it. Besides, I’m uncomfortable saying, ‘The weather sure
is nice, how about looking at this business opportunity?’ That doesn’t flow at all. Plus, if there were some way to break the ice and qualify the prospect at the same time, I could save lots of time by only talking to interested, qualified people. I seem to be making a lot of presentations to
people who are totally uninterested. Do you have a solution?”
